Career Day

Today was career day at school.  I'm always interested in what the kids pick to be.
Breckyn went with her "go-to" these days.  Dog trainer extraordinaire.
Em was a basketball player.  The best part is when his headband slides down it makes him look like an angry basketball player.
He lost a tooth the other day in a crazy trampoline accident.  The neighbor tooth is hanging by a small thread but he insists that he will not let it come out for another couple of days.  He is spreading out the tooth fairy love.
Zoey went as me.  She wants to be me when she grows up.  I believe she has gone as me about three times now over the years.  I have to tell you her pick never gets old.  It's one of my prouder moments in motherhood.
Rugs had strong plans to be an XP spy guy but he woke up with a fever today.  He begged me to go to school because his Dad was going to lend him some of his sweet business spy guy stuff.  He really wanted to show his friends his cool gear.  When I explained that staying home included doing nothing and rotting your brains out with the TV and computer-- he was on board.  He looks pretty broken up about it, don't you think?

Harweenies

We got to spend a little time with the Harweenies today.
Cooper A.K.A. spider boy.  This kid cracks me up.  He has some sweet dance moves and priceless one liners.  He is always giggling about something.  I love it.
Cam is too smart for all of us.  He takes everything quite literally which makes for some fun tweaking.  He is a big kindergartner now and loves to play letter games.
This is Cassie and three of her biggest fans.  She is the coolest and everyone wants a piece of her when she is over.
Em is just so cute.  My baby boy.
Breckyn and Cam went head to head in a heated game of Mario Bros.
Em and Coop-- I mean Batmans.  I'm pretty sure these masks are never coming off.
Cass played tether ball with the kids and schooled 'um.  Oh yeah!

Lets go fall!!

We are ready for fall in the Taylor house.
Fall means football season!  Tim and Z went to cheer on the Cougars!  They were pretty jazzed!
They are hoping to make it on ESPN-- so look for them.
Breckyn and Aunt Cheri made this cool shirt.  Breckyn is in heaven because peacocks are her latest obsession.
 Goob on candy overload.
Rugs got into the Halloween supplies.  This cat is ready to party.

Team Barlow

This week I got to spend some time with Team Barlow.
Libby made quite the glamorous shopping companion.
The two little girlies all ready for church.
This kid is amazing.  She is always happy and smiling.  Her hobbies are talking on the phone, blowing kisses, and chasing after Lulu.
 Look at all those curls!
Little Miss is a big kindergartner now.  She has a wonderful sense of style and sweet ninja moves.
Caleb is the resident old guy.  He is planning on taking over the world with his creative inventions.  Maybe we should just patent him now.
Maddie is so old it makes me wanna cry.  She is her own person with a strong sense of what she wants.  She has already passed up Jodi and I in the height department.  She is amazing.
We played nails and apparently neon is the latest craze.  I'm thinking of doing my toes...

You might notice that the Max-ster is missing.  That kid is a ball of funny.  He has great comedic timing and a good heart.  He is not a fan of pictures so next time I'll have to be a little more stealthy.

Thanks for the visit guys!  I miss you so much!

After school life at the Taylor house

I got out my camera to take a few pictures and this was on the screen...
Evidence?  Yeah, this is what he did with the new set of markers I bought him.  Nice.
Breckyn is embracing the whole "feather" trend with open arms.  This is her second set and she loves it.
 Z, diligently doing her homework.
I thought you might enjoy the view I usually have of Timmy.  When I bust in his office to ask questions I can only see the top half of his face over his computer screen.  Kinda like Wilson on Home Improvement.
 Goob still Goobery.
Rugs getting in touch with his inner Ninja.

Back to School

The kids are already back to school.
Here they are on their first day.
That's a little more like it.

Happy School Year!

Summer Summary

If you are wondering what happened to the Taylors this summer here it is...
Swimming...
 Swimming...
 Swimming....
...and more swimming.  Are you getting the pattern here?
These two fur balls had the time of their lives chasing each other all day long.
If you're not sure who this little fluff ball is-- well, let me introduce you to Oscar.  He is a mini golden doodle puppy.  He is Cassie's new little guy.  He is growing like a weed.  It seems like every time I see him he is a little bigger.  He is up to 22 lbs. this week and still getting bigger.  We love him and the excitement he has brought to the family.  Scout is glad to have someone to play with at all the family gatherings.

The Barlows come to town

This past August we had a visit from the Barlows.  It was the kids' dream come true.
We got to celebrate the Bean's birthday.  She wanted a princess theme.  We went to Airborne, had a cook out and swam in the pool.  It was epic!
These two trouble makers were reunited.
They were loving life back together again just like it should be.
Everyone enjoyed the birthday celebration.  Sure am glad Chloe went with blue as her frosting choice.
Libby was adored by all.  She is growing up way too quickly.  We had to make up for lost spoiling time-- so she had it pretty good here.

We miss you already Barlows.  We are already planning the next big bash!

Life in Utah

Hello All!  We are finally settling in here in Utah.  It has been a constant flow of projects and little down time for the Taylor family.  We have hunkered down and tried to make this house our very own.  It's looking good and ready for visitors.
One of the first days we were here we took a little hike up the mountain.  We still need to get used to the majestic mountains instead of corn fields and cows-- weird.
Em had found his new favorite place to eat.  It's a pizza buffet place with lots of dessert pizza and free drink refills.  He is in heaven.  He asks to go there almost every night.
The girls decided they needed a new look for a new school.  So we headed off to the salon.  B didn't realize that beauty comes at a price.  Doesn't she look so happy?
Z was cheery and excited about her new look.  Now she has curls and a sassy do.
The back yard had a bit of a hole where the last owners removed the retaining wall for a trampoline.  I had some ideas and now we have...
...a pool.  A few days and a lot of sweat later, it's time to swim.
Wah la!  As you can see the fence is going up in back and was finished up yesterday.  Scout is loving it because he can now go out in the back yard unaccompanied.
Of course we had to make a stop at the BYU bookstore.  We are in cougar country now so we had to stock up on all the gear.
Rugs is ready to go cheer on the cougars at a few games.
B-- not so much.
Here is a glimpse at our front room.
A view from our new front yard.
This is what the house looks out at.  We have a nice view of the valley and Utah Lake.
B our new babysitting star.
Rugs still full of attitude.
Z pink cheeked and happy faced.
Em.  Don't be fooled by this sweet face.  We call him Goob for a reason.
I lucked out with a small garden in back-- the dream lives on!!!

We love it here in Utah.  Come for a visit any time.
