Sunday Sunshine

Hello!  Welcome back to the Taylor blog.  It's so nice to see you again.  Here's what has happened since the last time you visited us.
Rugby learned the hard way what a bottle hickey was.  He was super embarrassed when he realised that he couldn't wipe it off his lip.
The cousins had some water fun on Saturday while the adults assembled the pool kit.
This lifeguard is on duty.  Too bad no on else will fit in there so he could have someone to save.
My pretty little Z.  She has a recital coming up this week and she is jazzed.
Max and Rugs playing with their Tech Decks.
Look at this face!  She is such a ham.  She loves to give the full cheese for the camera.  Those big blue eyes help her get her way quite often.  She is irresistible.
I thought you'd like a little peek at baby Libby.  This little girl has folded quite nicely into our growing flock.  The kids adore her and I'm pretty sure the adults do too.  You can tell she loves her mommy from the looks she gives in this video.  I think we'll keep her.

Here are a few shots of our new star.  She wasn't in the mood to model today but I can't resist the sad face she has to give.  So cute!

It's almost Summer!

Here's a quick view of our week.
Tim was out of town this week on business so I took the kids to the movies.  We saw this poster there and Rugs was in heaven!
Em's class went to the farm on Thursday.  Tim took the day off and went with him.  He has gone with all of the kids on this kindergarten field trip and this was his last year.  They had lots of fun together and they even got to milk a cow.
The kids have been begging to get out all of our water stuff this week.  We have been really hot and humid here so yesterday we busted out the sprinkler.
They had loads of fun squirting each other with the super soakers.

Here's a little clip of the action.

B's Creative Genius

Breckyn masterfully created this purse last night.  I had bought a bunch of fleece for her to play with and she keeps coming up with new things.  She hand sewed this beauty as a carrying purse for her Zumbuddy.  (It's the latest Webkinz thing.)  Nice job B!

Birthday do-over

This morning I my family woke me up with a birthday "do-over."  Since my birthday got barfed on (literally) they decided to try it again.  They took my downstairs where there was warm cinnamon rolls waiting in a newly decorated kitchen.  The kids each made me some posters and then gave me a few gifts.  It was perfect.
Cause hey, who doesn't love Iron Man?
Theses are the pictures I'm getting everyday from Rugs.  He is all about the super heroes right now.  I love it!
This one is from Z.
A little love from B.
Em's pretty picture.

They all put in a lot of hard work.  I was really surprised and totally excited.  They all kept telling me "happy 2nd birthday Mom!"  It's going to be a great day.  Thanks guys!

My World

Hi! Its me, Zoey. I will be posting
for a little while, So get used to it!
Just so your not to off, here's a picture to remember me.(Still making sure! Geez, you  don't have to set off on me, I'm just a kid ya know.)

Barf Correction

In an amendment to the previous post.  My Dad was the one who stood over the toilet cracking jokes while we barfed.  I'm pretty sure we're the only family that barfed and laughed at the same time.  My Dad was awesome during the actual barfing.  My mom however, did the follow up care.  She listened to the whining and complaining.  They made a great team.  I was pretty spoiled.  I love you guys!

Happy Barf-day

This poor little man spent a good part of the day hunched over a bucket.  I have to say I feel the most connected to my children when they are sick.  They really want their momma no matter how old they are.  I remember my first time barfing away from my mom at college.  I cried and cried.  No one wants to be sick without their mommy-- including me.  So Em and I were partners in barf today.

Flip Flops

Yesterday I was at Michael's and I spotted these flip flops for the girlies.  They were a dollar and the gems to decorate them were also a dollar.  Making their very own personalized I-made-it-myself-flip-flops was indeed priceless.  They were very proud of the finished product.  I have a feeling that we will be going back for more.

Taylor Fun

Just another week at the Taylor house.  Breckyn has been collecting frogs and tadpoles like crazy.
Here she is with her latest find.
Mr. Froggy entertained her for quite a while.
This is the face that I have been getting from Emerson all the time.  It's his goober special.
Here's the little man shooting some hoops.  So cute!
We found the girlies like this last night when we went to tuck them in.  Note the pants on the light and on the ceiling fan.  It must have been a crazy party before they fell asleep.

Zoey had gotten into bed with Breckyn and there were covers thrown everywhere.  Yowza!

My Golfin' Pro

This little guy has decided that golf is the most wonderful thing in the world.  Jodi and I signed all of our boys up for golf lessons for the second year in a row.  They really love it.  Rugby has taken to practicing in the back yard every day after school.  He has found his newest love.
In all of the golf excitement, this ball didn't quite get put away correctly.  I came home late from a church meeting last night and I thought I cleared it.  Apparently I didn't.  Rugby found it this morning and was pretty upset.  Who knew it would just stay there?  Now we are the proud owners of the rare egg-shaped ball.  Oops!

Just another day at the Taylor's

Tragedy struck the Taylor house hold today.  Zoey's glasses broke at school this morning.  She claims that she was just pushing them up when they snapped in her hands.  If that is indeed true than Tim has finally gotten his wish and he has a super hero for a daughter with the strength of 10 men.  Either that or her glasses just broke.  But the first one sounds way cooler-- don't ya think?
...said glasses
Here she is in all of her glory.  Yes, they are indeed pink.  She picked them out herself and her smile hasn't faded yet.  She is pretty proud of her new find.
These pictures sum up Breckyn's birthday pretty well.  She received a lot of pond gear including a set of waders.  She is in heaven.  She was itching to try them out tonight so here she is in all of her glory.
That's my girl.  Tadpoles, fish, and frogs; consider yourselves warned.

Breckyn's Birthday

My baby is turning 10 tomorrow.  We spent the weekend in celebration.  Saturday we took the kids to Six Flags and rode the rides all day long.  We had a little cake and presents with the Barlows today.  Tomorrow is the day she gets to celebrate at school and at home.  We Taylors sure love a party.  Happy Birthday kiddo!  We love you!

Happy Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo from the Taylors!

Last night we went to Taco Bell to celebrate in style.  The kids were in heaven and I have to admit it was pretty nice not making dinner.  After we gorged ourselves on tacos we took the kids to a nearby park on the lake.  We got to run on the piers, play in the park and watch a wind surfer do his thing.  It was loads of fun and now we are all very excited for school to be out so we can enjoy the freedom that summer brings.
